The special hydrodynamics of high speed craft operating in the planing mode must be carefully considered. The dynamic stability phenomena must be understood for a safe and comfortable ride whatever speed you want to travel. This approach is not restricted to high speed craft but must equally be applied when considering craft which are required to perform in a variety of conditions, operation speeds, comfort or stability.
